On the occasion of Father's Day, we had the pleasure of interviewing Marco Lupo, a Milanese entrepreneur and founder of Loopo Milano, a brand that blends Italian design with innovation, creating furniture and accessories with a unique character. But beyond his professional success, Marco is also a proud dad to Nina, his daughter who has transformed the way he lives, sees, and faces the world. In this conversation, Marco shares with us how his life changed with Nina's arrival, from the small daily lessons she has taught him, to how they share special moments together, from walks to playtime.
1. How has your life changed with Nina's arrival?
Everything. Friendships, routines, projects. As a parent, you start to enjoy the moment without overthinking what could have been.
2. What is the most important lesson your daughter has taught you (even without meaning to)?
To speak. She taught me the importance of always expressing how you feel, without fear of seeming vulnerable. Even with a smile, a gesture, or a little note.
3. What has been the most surprising question your daughter has asked you about family or love?
Actually, it was a statement. She told me that some friends who feel particularly close to me are part of our family.
4. How do you spend time together? Do you share any passions?
We spend a lot of time in the countryside, going for walks and taking care of our animals. It’s our way of slowing down, disconnecting, and seeing something grow that we’re creating together. Oh, and Monopoly, even though we argue because she says I cheat.
5. When you go shopping, who chooses the looks and combinations?
I usually buy 3 or 4 outfits and then let Nina choose. Otherwise, if I let her do it all by herself, we'd probably end up buying only pink clothes.
6. The 3 things you love most about her.
Her “loud” laugh, her sense of humor, and she’s rarely in a bad mood.
7. Now, a message you hope she can read one day.
Keep laughing loudly.
